  • Leashes

I like to get the 15 foot slip lead for practicing long line work, recall, and allowing our dog in explore mode. I love the 8 foot pack life leash with a clip for loose leash walks, practicing place and just the all around perfect leash for taking your dog everywhere with you.

You can find the Pack Life leashes here.

  • Cots

Dog cots are not a necessity but are very helpful for teaching dogs place work and/or providing a comfortable safe place to be in the house/outside.

My favorite has been 4 Legs 4 Pets.

  • E-collar

It’s crucial to choose a high-quality E-collar for your dog’s safety and effective training. A good e-collar helps us provide gentle guidance during training, focusing on correction only when necessary. The mini educator or micro educator are the best choices.  To learn more about e-collar and how to use them safely check out the e-collar eBook on the membership page.

Dog treats

When it comes to choosing dog treats, we’re big fans of freeze-dried options with simple, single-ingredient lists—think beef liver and salmon! It’s important to steer clear of treats that are loaded with sugar, unnecessary additives, cheap fillers, and preservatives, which are commonly found in many products.

There are truly numerous great options out there! Just remember to always read the ingredient lists carefully; if you want to learn more about this, check out our nutrition ebook on the membership page.

It’s crucial to opt for simple, high-quality ingredients, especially during the initial stages of training when we rely heavily on treats to reward our dogs and ensure they receive all the essential nutrients they need.

I’m a big fan of Stewart's single-ingredient treats. The large buckets of beef liver are not only my favorite, but they also offer excellent value!

Other great companies include Vital Essentials. Their treats and mini patties are perfect for keeping your dog nourished while they learn, serving as a great alternative to traditional meals.

Don't forget to check out Pure Bites, which offers delicious freeze-dried chicken treats, available here.
